Indigenous weavers in Surigao made their own pendants out of dried Agsam ferns, a plant unique to the area. Eduardo's dazzling metal plates and the rustic Agsam fern pieces were then joined into necklaces to create a stark contrast. The collaboration series is an ambitious project that brings together the various influences that shaped the Philippines' cultural character. It is also a reminder of a wonderful history that has been immortalized in metal and the modest Agsam fern.
